Furthermore, PM Imran Khan, while directing a conference on blocking obscene websites in Pakistan, stated that character building was extremely essential in the period of advanced technology.
Government to Conduct Efficient Gate-Keeping of the Unethical Online Content
“The proliferation of tech gadgets and 3G/4G internet technology has made all sort of content available to everyone,” he commented. PM Imran Khan instructed the concerned officials to guarantee efficient gate-keeping of the unethical online content to protect innocent brains against the unrelenting barrage of obscene and unethical online content.

Earlier, PM Imran Khan was notified that Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) especially Cloudfare with 1-2% of total internet traffic share had objections of laboring suggestive unethical online content. Other CDNs don’t serve immoral material as per their policies.
PTA Needs to Improve its Warehouse Management System
In addition to this, the Prime Minister was also informed that PTA needed to work with ISPs/CDNs for blocking immoral content through CDNs, particularly Cloudfare. The PTA further needs to improve its Warehouse Management System (WMS) capacity by integrating with some global and frequently updated databases of immoral sites to block them at URL and domain level.
He was also briefed that PTA was working on the utility of this project which would be completed within two months. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Atta ur Rehman, Chairman Nayatel Rashid Khan, and other concerned superior officers.
