In the recent news, Punjab Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar has joined the famous video-sharing platform TikTok. According to the local media’s news, the social media managing staff of Usman Buzdar social has uploaded multiple short videos of the Punjab Chief Minister so far on the TikTok account.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar Has More Than 100,000 Followers on TikTok
Punjab Chief Minister, Usman Buzdar, who hails from Taunsa Sharif has gathered more than 100,000 followers on the Chinese-owned video-sharing app, TikTok. The new social media account of Punjab Chief Minister goes by the name of UsmanakBuzdar declared that it is the official account managed by the staff of Usman Buzdar and it also got the link to the Punjab government website.

Several of the incumbent officials joined social media platforms as the Prime Minister himself is quite engaged on social networking platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. In July, President Dr. Arif Alvi made an official account on the famous short-video app, TikTok, to spread the message of positivity and inspiration among the youth of Pakistan.
Furthermore, a statement posted on President’s official Twitter handle stated “The President of Pakistan is now on TikTok. To spread the message of positivity and motivation for the youth of Pakistan, we will keep pushing inspiring videos for the TikTok users”.
TikTok Gave Assurances to PTA About Regulating Immoral Content
In addition to this, last month, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) lifted a ban on TikTok after assurances by the app to regulate immoral and unlawful content. PTA said it chose to lift the ban on the Chinese video-sharing app, TikTok after “continuous” engagement with TikTok management.
“As a result of continuous engagement, senior management of the platform assured PTA of its commitment to take necessary measures to control unlawful content in accordance with local laws and societal norms,” it said in a statement. “PTA will continue to monitor the platform in order to ensure that unlawful content contrary to Pakistan’s law and societal values is not disseminated.”
