In the recent news, Rawalpindi’s Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) has rolled out a new mobile app to facilitate citizens with online payments. The new WASA mobile app will now allow users to clear online payments and post official complaints directly from their phones. The new mobile app was inaugurated at WASA Rawalpindi’s headquarters on Monday.
Citizens Can Pay Bills and Register Complaints Via WASA Mobile App
“The citizens will be able to pay their bills and register complaints through the mobile application from home,” said Vice Chairman, WASA/RDA Haroon Kamal Hashmi while speaking to the participants after inaugurating the android application here at WASA headquarters.
He further stated that the WASA Rawalpindi had taken a very significant step to serve the people. Innovation was being carried into the department as per global standards, he added. Speaking about the WASA mobile App, he stated that the WASA Rwp users would be able to clear their payments online and lodge complaints at home with just one click and informed that the application called ‘’WASA Rwp’’ could be downloaded from Google Play Store.
WASA Has Established Six New Complaint Centers in Different Areas
Moreover, on the occasion, a considerable number of WASA officers and officials were present. The vice-chairman further informed that six new complaint centers in different areas had also been set up to facilitate the citizens and resolve their complaints at their doorsteps. He also congratulated the IT experts of WASA for developing the App without spending a single penny from the national exchequer.
In addition to this, the vice-chairman said that solid steps were taken to enhance the performance of WASA during the last three years and the target of document revenue recovery was achieved without increasing tariffs.
