The players will be given a warning if Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 detects the device, players will get a warning. If the user chooses to continue, they will be punished via a suspension or ban.
What is a Cronus Controller and How Does it Work?
Cronus controllers have been a popular tool for cheating in Call of Duty, providing players significant advantages. It is a small device that players connect to their controllers or PCs which can be used with almost any console or controller, allowing players to gain an unfair advantage in the game. The benefits include increased aim assist, rapid-fire mods, and no-recoil macros.
Previously, it was hard to detect these controllers via the anti-cheat system but now they can be easily identified and help them eliminate the cheater from the pool to create a fair gaming field for all, moreover, there will be less groundless accusations of cheating when players are defeated. However, the cheaters cannot be fully eliminated as they will continue to find new ways to exploit the system
Crackdown on Cheaters
Recently, Epic Games have started issuing warnings to players using Cronus Zen Land Cronus Max. Ubisoft is also taking action on users who are using XIM or similar devices to spoof controller inputs. The companies are engaged in a constant fight with the developers of this third-party hardware and they haven’t really nailed a game plan to fight the sale of these devices.
