Zoom has announced the acquisition of the employee communications platform Workvivo to help companies improve their internal communication

Zoom has announced the acquisition of the employee communications platform Workvivo to help companies improve their internal communication and culture. The video conferencing platform aims to fully unlock the potential of its employees and evolve its company culture in a hybrid world.

Workvivo Acquisition to Help With Better Communication Among Employees

Acquiring Workvivo aligns with the platform’s vision of engaging employees and driving culture through a connection that is no longer nice to have; rather it’s imperative for success in today’s business environment. Zoom noted that businesses need to think differently today in order to retain talent and build a strong company culture.

Zoom expects the Workvivo transaction to close in the first quarter of its 2024 fiscal year, with Workvivo’s founders John Goulding and Joe Lennon, and the whole team, joining Zoom once the deal closes. “Workvivo employees will transition to Zoomies,” said a spokesperson of the company.

Something About the Acquired Company

Workvivo, an employee experience platform, founded in 2017 provides advanced communication and engagement tools, a social intranet, and an employee app combined into one central hub, forming the heart of a company’s digital ecosystem. Moreover, it provides multiple options such as polls, surveys, activity feeds, shout-outs, email digests, community groups, organization charts, and shared calendars, which will help better communication among employees in a digital workspace.
