Comedian Samay Raina has taken down all episodes of his YouTube show India’s Got Latent following the controversy surrounding influencer Ranveer Allahbadia. The move comes after Allahbadia’s controversial remarks on the show sparked massive backlash, leading to police complaints and an extensive debate over social media content regulation. Addressing the issue for the first time, Raina stated that he never intended to create controversy and assured full cooperation with investigating authorities.

Samay Raina Responds to the Growing Backlash

Amid the uproar, Samay Raina announced on social media that he had removed all India’s Got Latent episodes from his channel. Expressing his distress over the situation, he emphasized that his goal was to entertain audiences, not cause controversy. He also assured that he would cooperate with all official investigations to resolve the matter fairly.

The controversy erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, made remarks about parents and sex on Raina’s show. The clip went viral, triggering widespread criticism and multiple police complaints in Mumbai and Guwahati. Allahbadia has since apologized for his “lapse in judgment,” but the backlash continues, drawing attention from regulatory bodies and lawmakers.

Authorities Step In, Summon Samay Raina and Others

As the issue escalated, Maharashtra Cyber Department registered an FIR against the show and summoned over 40 individuals, including Allahbadia and Raina, for questioning. Additionally, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has called Raina, Allahbadia, and other show contributors to appear before it on February 17 in New Delhi.

The controversy has now reached Parliament, with Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske calling for stricter laws to regulate online content with legal proceedings underway, the future of India’s Got Latent remains uncertain.
