Apple isn’t the only tech firm hunting down prominent leakers. Samsung is, also, reportedly issuing copyright strikes against leakers and forcing some to take down previously leaked content.
Samsung is looking to minimize those leaks and has issued strong alerts to its supply chain partners. The company has already started investigating leakers and is handing out copyright statements to pertain to stricter strategies.
According to Max Jambor, the company has started mustering copyright laws against leaked images and videos of unreleased products from All About Samsung. In a nutshell, they are alleging that these leaks contain copyrighted material and that leaders don’t have any legal right to publicize them.
Leaks are common with flagships of certain series. Samsung and Apple’s flagships usually endure the most from leaks. For instance, we still have information about the full specs and price of this iPhone 13, three months prior to its launch and the same goes for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series.

Most people working in the tech industry with access to materials, information, and especially devices often sign NDAs to keep internal topics confidential. Some companies might even go as threatening theft against those who disclose business confidences to the outside world.
According to reports, Apple has made some of its employees wear “police-grade” body cameras to curtail the leaks of proprietary information. The irony here is that this report is also a leak which implies that even the body cameras may not stop internal information from leaking.
Nonetheless, this is a double-edged sword. On one hand, this can prevent consumers from getting hyped for a possible upcoming product. But on the other hand, we wouldn’t know what kind of new phone the brand is working on.
