WhatsApp rolls out photo-editing features for its Web and desktop versions. These tools will enable users to edit photos and add stickers, before sending them. This feature may not be available to all users right away as it is still being rolled out by the company.

The screenshot shared by the blog site shows that the WhatsApp Web and Desktop app users will be able to add emojis, stickers, text, and doodle to the image. They will also be able to undo or redo their changes and crop an image before sharing. These options are similar to the options that WhatsApp users get before they share an image via the company’s app.
The new drawing tool can be accessed from the top after selecting the image you want to share with your contact. Meanwhile, the option to add text is still present at the bottom along with the newly introduced ‘view once’ feature for disappearing photos and videos. According to the publication, the feature will soon be available for all users and they are recommended to update to the latest version of WhatsApp on Android, iOS, and desktop.

New Emojis for WhatsApp smartphone applications
According to the WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is also working on bringing new emojis to its Android and iOS apps. This update will bring 217 new emojis to iPhones and Android smartphones, that can only be accessed from WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.21.16.10 while the emojis have already made their way to iOS users via iOS 14.5 update. The new emojis include; burning heart emojis, emoji characters with various gender identities, and sigh emoji among others.
To send and receive the new emojis, users have to download the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android/iOS. The recipient can only see them if they have installed the latest beta update too.
