The famous ride-hailing app, Careem has recently launched a new feature in its Super App, which allows users to book a ride to any Covid19 vaccination center in Pakistan.
The new “Get vaccinated” tool incorporates comprehensive information from official government sources on the vaccines being provided in the country, their eligibility, and the timings and locations of all centers across the country. Using this feature, customers can easily contact the nearest vaccination center through the app and schedule a hassle-free ride, eliminating all traffic and parking concerns.
- Updated mapped locations, phone numbers, and operating hours of each site are now available on the Super App.
- Careem has built this information into the new tool/widget within the Super App.
“We are grateful to the local and federal government that has put in tremendous efforts to provide easy accessibility for citizens to get vaccinated. People from all over the 10 cities where Careem operates can reach the new tool directly on the app’s home screen, below thumbnails of other rides, food, and delivery services. Moreover, the app enables the users to locate and book an appointment at the nearest vaccination center also.
In addition to it, the company announced that it observed an increase in the number of customers reserving rides to vaccination centers as soon as the government’s vaccination process began this month. Consequently, till now more than 10,000 customers have booked a Careem ride to be vaccinated. More than 350,000 vaccines have been administered across Pakistan, as per the statistics provided by the Reuters COVID-19 Tracker.
To enhance the customer experience and promote the national vaccination efforts, Careem promptly formed a dedicated team, which includes product managers, designers, and engineers to create the world’s first vaccination transport feature in a mobile application.
