Criminal Group Hacks Into ATM Stealing Rs. 3.4 Million

The theft was reported by the bank manager to the A-Division police station. Upon arrival, the police collected evidence from the compromised ATM and launched an investigation. According to the DSP City, a special police team has been formed to track down the culprits. As of now, the identity and whereabouts of the criminals remain unknown.

The incident is not isolated, as technology increasingly becomes a tool for sophisticated crimes. The police have also discovered a well-organized drug trafficking network that utilizes Google Maps to conduct operations. The network, referred to as the “Location Network,” involves sharing the GPS locations of hidden narcotics via Google Maps, with further coordination conducted through messaging apps.

Ever Increasing Criminal Networks

The drug traffickers employ a method of hiding narcotics in various locations across cities and villages. These hidden stashes are photographed and their locations shared through WhatsApp, facilitating discreet communication between smugglers and primary dealers; this method minimizes the need for direct interaction, thereby reducing the risk of detection.

A resident of Khyber, Owal Gul, confessed his involvement in this drug distribution network operating in Sialkot, Punjab. Gul revealed that major drug dealers recruited him to assist in the distribution process. He described the operation as highly organized, with extensive networks both domestically and internationally. These networks prioritize minimal physical contact to enhance security and avoid law enforcement detection.
