Driverless Tesla ended up meeting an accident on Saturday north of Houston, authorities said. Two men died as a result of the crash. The car was supposed to be operated automatically without the need of a driver. The Driveless Tesla crashed into trees and ended up in flames.

Reuters said that the 2019 Tesla Model S was moving at a high-speed rate and it failed to accommodate the curve coming in its way and went off the roadway, as a result, the car ended up crashing into trees and bursting into flames. local television station KHOU-TV said.

After the team managed to get rid of the fire, authorities located 2 occupants in the vehicle, one was found in the passenger’s seat while the other one was sitting at the back seat of the Tesla, the report said, citing Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Tesla did not spontaneously respond to the request for comment.

The accident comes amid growing scrutiny over Tesla’s semi-automated driving system following recent accidents and is planning to launch to release an updated “full self-driving” software to more customers.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Tesla did not spontaneously respond to the request for comment.

As per the US auto safety agency reported, it opened 27 investigations against crashes of Tesla vehicles; among those three of them took place recently.

Mr. Elon Musk CEO of Tesla, in January, highlighted that he expects huge profits from its full self-driving software. He stated that he is “highly confident the car will be able to drive itself with reliability over human this year.”

Self Driving Technology should focus on providing an efficient solution in terms of safety and regulatory hurdles to achieve commercial success.
