A joint endeavor of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Finance Department, e-Pay Punjab has so far collected PKR 60 billion revenue against 12.3 million transactions, according to the official statement issued on Thursday.
E-Pay Punjab Allows Punjab Citizens to Easily Pay Taxes Online
PITB chairman Azfar Manzoor stated that the e-pay Punjab would continue to facilitate the citizens by allowing them to pay taxes online via a number of payment channels.
The news was announced on the official Twitter handle of e-Pay Punjab, the tweet read, “e-Pay Punjab collected PKR. 60 Billion+ Revenue collection against 12 Million+ Transactions. This remarkable feat transformed the e-Pay Punjab app into more than just an online payment channel, it also created an altogether new, simple, and dependable method for serving citizens.”

Furthermore, it was informed during a progress review meeting, that the e-Pay Punjab application has been downloaded 933,000 times, generating good ratings for the app. PITB director-general IT-Operations Faisal Yousaf and other senior officers were also attending the meeting.
E-Pay Punjab Has Collected PKR 35.25 Billion Revenue through Sales Tax
E-Pay Punjab offers online payments of 21 taxes and levies for 10 departments, the online payment channel has collected a total revenue of Rs35.25 billion through sales tax, Rs10.5 billion in token tax, Rs8.25 billion property tax, and around Rs3 billion through traffic challans.
The computerization of the online tax payment system through e-Pay Punjab has made state collections simpler by making the payments process fast and hassle-free through a number of payment channels.
