The government has announced the resumption of the youth laptop program. In this regard, the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP) has officially opened applications for Phase-VI of the PM’s Youth Laptop Scheme. Here’s the detailed process of registration:
PM’s Youth Laptop Scheme Registration Process
- The program can be registered on the official PMYP Website (https://laptop.pmyp.gov.pk/). However, providing accurate personal information, such as the CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) number, mobile number, and email address, is essential. Please note that submitting incorrect or false data may cancel the registration.
- Once the registration is complete, applicants must log in to their account.
- To monitor the application’s progress, applicants can visit the “Application Status” section. This will display information about the application’s advancement.
- Applicants are advised to consult the website’s List of Eligible Universities to determine if their university qualifies for Phase VI of the program.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must possess a valid CNIC/B-Form number.
- Applicants must be enrolled as students at the time of application submission.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a Ph.D./MS/MPhil program or any equivalent 18-year program.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a 4-year or 5-year bachelor’s degree program.
- Applicants must be enrolled in an MBA program with durations of 3.5 years, 2.5 years, or 1.5 years.

The PM Laptop scheme is an initiative to provide laptops to talented and deserving students nationwide. The scheme was launched to promote digital literacy and enable students to excel in their academic pursuits by providing access to technology and information resources. The program is implemented under the supervision of the Prime Minister’s Office and aims to bridge the digital divide and empower students with the necessary tools for educational success.
