On Tuesday, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque directed to expedite the procedure of giving cash rewards to the IT corporations. Supervising the 51st Board of Directors conference of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), the IT Minister further provided the directions for developing a timeline in this regard.
IT Ministry is Working to Incentivize the IT Industry Through Cash Rewards
Moreover, the meeting, which discussed subjects connected to IT exports and financial incentives disbursement to IT firms & IT exporters, was attended by Additional Secretary (Incharge) Ministry of IT Mohsan Mushtaq and others. Pakistan Software Houses Association Chairman Badar Khushnood joined the meeting through a video link.
IT Minister Instructs to Increase Female Ration in IT Projects
In addition to cash rewards, the meeting also discussed the issues faced by IT companies and freelancers in detail. During the meeting, IT Minister Amin ul Haq appreciated the Skills Programs of PSEB and directed its administration to increase the ratio of females in such projects. “The empowerment of women is the chief motto of the Ministry of IT &Telecom,” stated IT Minister.
Earlier, Managing Director PSEB Osman Nasir informed the meeting about Skills Programs including IT Industry Boot Camp Program, IT Industry-Academia Bridge Program, and Soft Skills Development Program. The meeting also approved establishing a Sales Launch Pad at the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Minutes of the 50th BoD meeting of PSEB were also approved in the meeting.
