As per recent reports, Netflix is investing in its first-ever original web series from Pakistan. Journalist Hasan Kazmi reported that the streaming giant has greenlit its first original Pakistani project and allocated a big budget in this regard.

Netflix’s first-ever web series from Pakistan
As per details, the series is set to feature three seasons with 13 episodes each, however, the authenticity of the reports are still not verified. Netizens are already excited about the upcoming project. While some said it’s fake news others said that Osman Khalid Butt deserves to be a part of this amazing project. However, no other details are revealed and Netflix is yet to comment on the development. Recently, Variety reported that Humayun Saeed will reportedly play the role of a Pakistani surgeon Dr Hasnat Khan in Netflix original series ‘The Crown’

Back in 2020, the Pakistani animated short, Sitara: Let Girls Dream, written and directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy debuted on Netflix. The story revolves around the life of a fourteen-year-old girl, Pari, who wishes to become a pilot. Her story is told from the perspective of her younger sister, the six-year-old Mehr. It was a silent movie with no dialogues and highlights.
