Netflix Top10 movies and TV-Series were revealed by Netflix’s co-CEO and chief content officer, at the Vox Media’s Code Conference at the Beverly Hilton. Two slides were shared at the conference, one showed the most popular Netflix shows based on its proprietary metric of the number of accounts that selected a given title in the first 28 days of release (and streamed for at least 2 minutes). Whereas, the second showed the total time spent viewing by hours within the initial 28-day window.

A change in strategy
For years, Netflix remains tight-lipped about viewership. The House of Cards creator has put Netflix’s original content efforts on the map, the company had never gone public with its viewership metrics But within the last two years, Netflix has evolved a lot they were not only talking about the popularity of its shows and movies but they recently dipped their toes in the games industry as well. Netflix also added a top-trending ranking to its service, so people can see what the most popular titles streaming on Netflix in their country are on any given day.
