The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has opened an online registration portal for students to register for MDCAT 2022. During the admission process, the online registration portal became inaccessible to many medical and dental aspirants who raised the issue on social media platforms.
The issue with the PMC online registration portal
According to Pakistan Medical Commission, the portal was inaccessible due to internet issues across the country as PTI marched on the capital. However, the Commission said that it is working closely with the National Telecommunications Corporation (NTC) to address the technical issues related to the online registration portal.
Students took to Twitter to inquire about the issue. A student posted; “Is anyone else getting this Warning message after they register for PMC? It doesn’t let you register for MDCAT when this message is present. #pmc #mdcat”

Meanwhile, someone took advantage of the situation and started another bogus website to collect the funds from students, many students fall prey to it before someone addressed the issue; “The link regarding PMC MDCAT registration is totally fake and it is hereby informed to all the students that don’t use any kind of fake links for registration please wait for the official announcement. Otherwise, PMC will not be responsible in case of any scam.”

Earlier this week, PMC welcomed applications from across the country to register for MDCAT Admissions. The last date to apply for MDCAT with a normal fee is 5th July, however, students will be able to register with a late fee from 6th to 15th July. However, the PMC hasn’t announced an extension date yet.
[UPDATE] At the time of writing, the PMC has fixed the online registration portal and it is now available to all the students who want to complete the registration process.
