The design of Oppo A52 is sturdy with perfect matte edges and a glossy finish at the back. As for the display, the A52 has a 6.5-inch FHD+ (2,400 x 1,080) IPS LCD panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a standard 60Hz. The right side of the phone carries the power button which doubles up as a fingerprint sensor, the left side of the phone houses a dual SIM card slot with a dedicated microSD card slot and the volume buttons, while, the bottom houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone vent, a USB Type-C charging port and three capsule-shaped mini-vents for speakers. It comes with a 5000mAh battery that takes about an hour and a half for a full charge and the drainage is not fast when subjected to medium use.
On the optics front, the A52 features a quad rear camera setup including a 12MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie shooter. The camera produces good images in daylight but struggles in low light situations, however, the Pro mode in the camera app allows manual controls for photography which is a welcome addition. A52 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 processor and Adreno 610 GPU, which combine to deliver smooth performance. With high settings, there might be instances of screen freezing for a second or two but there were no lags or stutters whatsoever.
