The A12 features a unibody design that feels sturdy, and the matte finish helps repel fingerprints. On the left side of the phone is the microSD and SIM card slot, while, volume controls and fingerprint sensors are placed on the right side. The bottom of the phone has a USB Type-C connector, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a single speaker. The Galaxy A12 comes equipped with a budget Helio P35 SoC. that is not meant for gaming or stuff like that, but, watching videos and browsing the web are some things it does with ease.
The A12 includes four lenses on its back: a 48MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and 2MP macro and depth lenses. The 8MP front-facing camera is good enough for selfies and video calls, it has a beautification feature enabled by default that can be turned off completely.
