The TikTok stories ‘Quick’ create mode
As reported by social media consultant Matt Navarra, TikTok Stories now show up in the For You feed instead of having its own tab. When scrolling through your feed, photos and videos from stories are identified by a blue Story tag. He explained the newly revamped feature by sharing a video on his Twitter account

In camera mode, TikTok calls its stories feature “Quick mode,” suggesting that the feature still needs a proper name. As pointed by Matt, the Quick create mode on the camera will let you create new stories instead of the sidebar.
– Creating a new story is now done via the ‘+’ button instead of via the side bar
– The new stories create mode is called ‘Quick’
– Multi-part stories are viewed in your FYP by tapping the video

Lookalike feature
Just like Snapchat and Instagram Stories, photos and videos shared on the stories automatically disappear after 24 hours. While previously users could only see Stories from profiles they follow, TikTok is now letting anyone see Stories shared by a public profile. A TikTok spokesperson said; “We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience. Currently, we’re experimenting with ways to give creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community.”
