The popular microblogging platform, Twitter is now testing a TikTok-like video feed called Explore Tab, the new vertical feed will also come with a “For You” tab. The TikTok-like video feed, Explore Tab is testing on both Android and iOS for users in certain countries who use Twitter in English.
“We’re testing out a revamped, more personalized Explore page to make it easier for you to unwind, find new interests and see what’s happening,” stated a Twitter spokesperson on the announcement of the Explore Tab. The corporation stated that Explore Tab is a visual-forward way of surfacing content that already exists on the platform. This new TikTok-like video feed feature is part of Twitter’s present effort to enhance personalized suggestions and discovery across the platform.

Twitter is the Latest Social Platform to Cash on TikTok-like Video Feed with Explore Tab
Furthermore, Twitter is the latest social media platform to cash on TikTok’s fast growth — the short-form video app surpassed one billion monthly active users this year, making it one of the quickest companies to reach that milestone.
TikTok clones such as Instagram Reels, Snapchat Spotlight, and YouTube Shorts have incentivized content creators to employ their platforms and have increased in popularity. Applications such as Netflix, Spotify, and Reddit are also testing TikTok-like video feed and other features.

In addition to this, Twitter has been continuously churning out new features this year, such as Spaces, Twitter Blue, and Tip Jar. This rate is predicted to continue with Parag Agrawal taking over as CEO after co-founder Jack Dorsey stepped down last week. Already, Agrawal has started restructuring the platform to support what he called “ambitious objectives” in an email to staff, which he tweeted upon his appointment.
