WhatsApp built-in camera tweaks, and redesigned caption view
According to the WhatsApp news tracker, WABetaInfo, the app designers have redesigned the switch camera icon. It said; “You can notice that there was a horizontal bar with your recent pictures in your gallery, at the bottom of the screen: the horizontal media bar has been now replaced with a new button that directly opens your gallery.” The statement further added that the update is readily available for beta testers. The built-in camera tweaks give more privacy to the user while taking photos, as currently they could accidentally swipe up and show at least six of their personal images.
WABetaInfo also discovered that WhatsApp is developing a redesigned caption view that also shows a list of the chosen recipients. The details of the update read; “In a future update, it will be also possible to upload your media to status updates. Something similar is already possible when you take a photo from the Camera tab, but the new feature extends this functionality, bringing the same option when you select or take a photo from a chat.”
Dark theme for Windows
The instant messaging application is also planning to introduce the dark theme to the Universal Windows Platform App. A report by WABetaInfo reads; “If you use the dark theme on Windows, WhatsApp will automatically set the theme to dark. Alternatively, you can choose the theme right within WhatsApp Settings General. When you want to use a different theme, you have to restart WhatsApp to apply the changes.”
