The animated message reaction feature
The WhatsApp news tracker, WABetaInfo, elaborated how the new feature would work. A tab with multiple reaction options pops up when a message within the WhatsApp chat is selected for reaction. When the users will tap on any of these options, the reaction will be sent in the form of animation. WABetaInfo also revealed a pan of six emoji icons next to an individual message, However, it is unknown if WhatsApp will add more emojis reactions to the panel.
WABetaInfo stated; “Nothing very important, but you can understand that WhatsApp is paying attention to any small detail before releasing message reactions. The animated message reaction feature is still under development, and WhatsApp is working on releasing the ability to react to messages in a future update.” Responding to messages with emojis and reactions is already available on other Meta apps like Facebook Messenger and Instagram.
