According to WebBetaInfo the well known platform for WhatsApp leaks that the company is constantly working to make its platform a lot safer by introducing features which protect user privacy. WhatsApp is testing an upcoming feature in its beta release which will self destroy images once user leaves the chat window.
Surprisingly there will be no mark of any image ever sent unlike instagram which expires images but leaves a mark behind it.
However the leak reveals that there is no expiry timer being given with this feature.
The option is likely to make WhatsApp a lot safer than it used to be. Experts suggest a further enhancement to this feature where they expect a notification from WhatsApp in this if someone takes a screenshot of these self destructing media to keep users safe from breaching privacy measure being taken by the company.
WhatsApp has earlier introduced end to end encryption feature as well which ensures only you and the person you’re communicating with can read what’s sent, and nobody in between, not even WhatsApp. Your messages are secured with locks, and only the recipient and you have the special keys needed to unlock and read your messages.
The feature was submitted earlier to Google Play Beta Program in beta version 2.20.201.1.
The feature is being considered an extension to Expiring Messages feature earlier introduced and its delivery to any stable version on App stores is still not known.
