The Meta-owned instant messaging service is testing a feature where group chat participants can see a list of all the past participants in the group who left it in the previous 60 days. According to WABetaInfo, “WhatsApp is working on viewing a list of past participants in your groups, for a future update of the app!”
Group Members can Also See the List of Past Participants
Previously, it was reported that the group members can silently leave the group without notifying anyone except the group admin. However, with this new update, all group members will still be able to see who leaves the group by using a feature called “past participants”
To understand the past participant’s feature, WABetaInfo has also shared a screenshot that shows who left the group in the past 60 days that will be available right within the group. The past participants can be removed from the list after the completion of sixty days. The WhatsApp update tracker website has said that the debate is still under development and the release date of the feature is still unknown.

WhatsApp is working on Kept Messages
WhatsApp is working on a feature for disappearing chats called Kept Messages that will allow sets to save messages even if the disappearing messages feature is enabled. As explained by WABetaInfo; “WhatsApp is planning to introduce a new section right within Contact Info and Group Info that lists all kept messages, so they can be easily read later: since everyone in the chat can decide to un-keep those messages, WhatsApp is now planning to make it easier to find them, so they are developing this section.”
